I work with adults, couples, and teens (16+) who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives but may be feeling unsure of where to start. For a more detailed look at the communities I serve, please visit the About Me page.
As a Black millennial therapist, I’m passionate about breaking down the stigmas and stereotypes surrounding mental health within Black and Brown communities. I offer compassionate, culturally sensitive care to those navigating the lasting impact of trauma, including experiences rooted in racism and discrimination. My approach welcomes open conversations about race, sexuality, spirituality, and how these parts of our identity shape our everyday lives. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and committed to ongoing education and advocacy to best support all individuals seeking a safe and supportive space.

There are several reasons why I am not in network with any insurance plans.
Insurance companies require a mental health disorder diagnosis, which will stay with your permanent health record.
They also require information about your qualifying symptoms and specific work in counseling.
Not involving insurance companies is the only way to assure your utmost confidentiality.
You and I will have the ability to decide the type and time-frame of treatment that would be the most effective for you, rather than an employee at the insurance company limiting the number of sessions and the type of therapy you receive.
In addition to these important clinical reasons, not filing insurance allows me to keep my self-pay rates as affordable as possible.
Though I do not take insurance, I am partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.
Mentaya is perfect if you:
• Have out-of-network benefits
• Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance
• Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement
• Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!
Here's how it works:
1. Sign up for Mentaya: https://mentaya.co/inviteclient/raTLKwxpT1On2XtbeefG
2. Our practice will enter your sessions into the platform.
3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.
4. You get reimbursed by insurance!
Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies.
It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.
I can also send you a superbill if you would like to file for reimbursement on your own!
Yes! A cancellation fee of the full amount of the service will be charged to the credit card on file if you fail to attend a scheduled session or give less than 24 hours notice of cancellation. You can cancel all appointments through the given client portal or by sending me an email at jordan@healingwithjordan.com
Yes! You can absolutely follow my business accounts!

Please be aware that if you are a past or current client, I will not follow or friend you to honor ethical boundaries and privacy.
If you choose to follow me as a client, you risk breaching confidentiality by engaging with the accounts.
Communication via social media accounts does not establish any type of therapeutic client relationship.
Information obtained by these accounts should not be considered a substitute for mental health and medical evaluation by a credentialed and licensed professional.
You can get started by booking a consultation through this link or by emailing me directly at jordan@healingwithjordan.com. From there, we’ll talk through your goals, what you’re hoping to work on, and whether we’re a good fit. If everything aligns, we’ll schedule your first session and begin your care plan.
Before your first session, you’ll complete the intake paperwork and client history online. This helps me get a sense of who you are, what you’re carrying, and what you’re hoping to work on. You’re also welcome to jot down any questions or concerns you want to bring with you so you feel prepared.
I review your paperwork ahead of time, so I’m already familiar with your story before we meet. You’ll receive an email with instructions on how to access my secure, confidential telemental health platform for our virtual session.
During our first session, I’ll start with informed consent so you know your rights, what therapy looks like, and my policies. From there, I’ll guide the conversation with questions to help us start exploring your story, your goals, and what support looks like for you. There’s no need to show up “perfectly prepared”—just come as you are.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous or unsure before starting therapy. Most people do. As we build a relationship and you get used to the flow of sessions, that feeling usually eases. Give yourself credit for even getting this far. Taking the first step is an act of courage and care for yourself.
Telehealth (virtual therapy) is convenient because it enables you to receive the same quality care as in an office, in the comfort of your own home, or anywhere, on your own time. With your busy schedule and demands of daily life, online therapy increases access to mental health treatment.
We can have sessions from anywhere that you have an internet connection, a video-enabled device, and a private place to talk. Once we have set an appointment, you will receive an email with directions and a link to your session. Everything else works much like in-person therapy
